We request the following Google OAuth scopes, each for the single purpose described:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords — Express Ads. To create, manage, and report on the YouTube and Demand Gen advertising campaigns you launch through Grootin.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload — Express Ads. With a fan's explicit opt-in, to subscribe that fan to the artist's YouTube channel on release day, and to link and verify an artist's YouTube channel.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — Release plan. To create, update, and delete the release-plan milestone events you ask us to add to your Google Calendar. We request only the minimum scopes needed to provide these features. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Contacts, and those APIs are not enabled on our project. You are shown each permission on Google's consent screen before you grant it.
In line with the Limited Use requirements, we use Google user data only to provide or improve the user-facing features described above. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for serving advertisements (including retargeting, personalised, or interest-based advertising), do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the feature you requested, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law.
You can revoke Grootin's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is revoked, or your Grootin account is deleted, we delete all data obtained through Google APIs for that account within 7 days.
Grootin's AI features, such as the AI release plan and AI cover art, run on Google Vertex AI using the Gemini 2.5 Flash and Gemini 2.5 Flash Image models. These models run in Grootin's own Google Cloud project. We do not use any third-party AI service.
The only inputs to these AI features are data you enter on the Grootin platform — for example your release title, genre, artist bio, release date, and the text prompts you type. No information received from Google APIs is used as an input to an AI or machine learning model, and no raw, aggregated, or derived Google user data is used to create, train, or improve any AI or machine learning model, nor is it transferred or sold for that purpose.
Google Calendar is used as a write destination only — we create release-plan milestone events, and never read calendar data into an AI model.
Grootin uses YouTube API Services to link and verify artist channels, to subscribe a fan to an artist's channel when the fan opts in through a pre-save, and to upload the video creative for the advertising campaigns you launch through Grootin.
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by contacting us at hello@grootin.in.
